Jason A. Brenner, J.D.


Jason brings a rich and diverse legal practice background to RiverBank.  Jason has experience in complex private practice, prosecution and public interest law, corporate and business counseling, and service in the chambers of a federal district court judge.


Jason graduated from Boston College Law School and is admitted to the bars of North Carolina, Florida, and Massachusetts.  Jason is also admitted to practice before numerous federal courts. 


Throughout his career Jason has worked with noted attorneys and jurists, such as North Carolina Court of Appeals Judge Jim Fuller, accomplished pubic interest advocate Evan G. Lewis, Federal District Court Judge Nathaniel M. Gorton, and Yale faculty member Lawrence H. Brenner.


Jason has a long-standing commitment to public service and has served for years as a pro bono supervising attorney in the University of North Carolina School of Law Domestic Violence Advocacy Program.  Jason maintains an active federal indigent defense practice and, following law school, served as a special law assistant in the federal trial court in Massachusetts, working on habeas corpus, criminal, and pro se matters before the court.  For several years Jason also served as a staff attorney with Legal Aid of North Carolina, Inc.
